 In the summer of 2022. I had a lot to think about after I graduated. My plan after high school was always to go to university, but I didn't want to go to University without having a plan for what I wanted to study. After some time researching and talking to people, my coach gave me a call and talk about his experience with CMU. I ended up liking the idea and looked at what they had to offer plus they also have great sports teams which sparked my interest even more. Near the end of August, I got a phone call about that I had been accepted I was happy because it meant a new challenge and a milestone to achieve for me and my family. When I got the phone call the advisor's name at the time was Louisa Hofer. She congratulated me and told me about how amazing CMU is which made it even an easier decision to come here. Coming here was a great decision because of it I have made some great memories and met wonderful people even got the opportunity to play soccer at the university level ...

 Silence Killing in the World shows a lot because people are scared to explain themselves to one another reason for that is that sometimes humans feel like even if they share sometimes nothing gets done.  For example, if you are in a workplace or playing sports and someone is being racist to you. That might make you feel disrespected and conflicts come into play because in many places you try to speak up and nothing really gets done. After all, people might not seem to care. Which will end up with more conflicts and more things happening because the situation wasn't dealt with. In any activity that happens in your daily life, there has to be a plan on what approach to take if matters like racism, assaults, etc. Having a plan if this ever occurs helps the environment become a better and safer place to be at which will help people to understand to try making the people around them better as well.

Understanding Persuasion

Understanding Persuasion is like being able to read a person's mind just to do this you have to look deeply into the human nature of what motivates people, what moves them, and also what makes them explode. For example, if you want a friend/partner to go on an adventure with you. You don't give them the reason for why it would be an amazing adventure, instead, you paint this picture of excitement and the unknown of what the adventure would be like and the memories that would be made. Doing this appeals to the person's emotions tapping into their sense of curiosity. Persuasion is about awareness of being able to think through someone else shoes. It's about seeing the world from their side and understanding their hopes, fears, and desires. Finding common ground to make their ideas and what they think believe in matters. The Power Of Talk

The power of talk explains that people from different backgrounds can end up having a miscommunication with each other because some people have different approaches and how they do things or even receive communication. For example, if you are in an environment with someone who doesn't speak proper English that person shouldn't be made fun of because of that because everyone is different in their own way.  Overall it's good to see and understand others because they are different and trying to understand and respect their values can end up making the environment better in the end. You could also end up learning things from one another because humans adapt to the environment they are in.
