Telling Tales

 In the summer of 2022. I had a lot to think about after I graduated. My plan after high school was always to go to university, but I didn't want to go to University without having a plan for what I wanted to study. After some time researching and talking to people, my coach gave me a call and talk about his experience with CMU. I ended up liking the idea and looked at what they had to offer plus they also have great sports teams which sparked my interest even more. Near the end of August, I got a phone call about that I had been accepted I was happy because it meant a new challenge and a milestone to achieve for me and my family. When I got the phone call the advisor's name at the time was Louisa Hofer. She congratulated me and told me about how amazing CMU is which made it even an easier decision to come here. Coming here was a great decision because of it I have made some great memories and met wonderful people even got the opportunity to play soccer at the university level which was an amazing experience.

Understanding Persuasion is like being able to read a person's mind just to do this you have to look deeply into the human nature of what motivates people, what moves them, and also what makes them explode. For example, if you want a friend/partner to go on an adventure with you. You don't give them the reason for why it would be an amazing adventure, instead, you paint this picture of excitement and the unknown of what the adventure would be like and the memories that would be made. Doing this appeals to the person's emotions tapping into their sense of curiosity. Persuasion is about awareness of being able to think through someone else shoes.
