The power of talk explains that people from different backgrounds can end up having a miscommunication with each other because some people have different approaches and how they do things or even receive communication. For example, if you are in an environment with someone who doesn't speak proper English that person shouldn't be made fun of because of that because everyone is different in their own way. 
Overall it's good to see and understand others because they are different and trying to understand and respect their values can end up making the environment better in the end. You could also end up learning things from one another because humans adapt to the environment they are in.
